Jessica Weidman Jessica Weidman is a trained Operatic Lyric Soprano, and has been a featured soloist in many genres including Opera, Classical, Secular and Christian concerts. As an operatic soprano, some of her past performances have included being featured as one of "The Four Sopranos," performing duets with world-renowned tenor Paul Pitts, and at the famous Hershey Theater as a guest soloist in the Fanfare to Strauss's "Die Fledermaus" presented by the famed Helikon Opera Company of Russia. Jessica is well known for her vocal "crossover" abilities and her amazing vocal range. She is often requested to perform mixed concerts of Broadway favorites, Classic Jazz, Romanic Ballads as well as Classical Standards. She has been featured a number of times in the annual "Broadway Extravaganza" at the Hilton Ballroom in Harrisburg, PA; the Wednesday Club's Whitaker Center Recital Series; the Harrisburg Arts Festival and the Historic Peace Church Gala. Jessica is the principal vocalist with the Lebanon Community Concert Band of Lebanon, PA and has been a guest soloist with the Hershey Symphony of Hershey, PA. Jessica considers her Christian music ministry to be the most fulfilling of all of her singing. She has performed in many Christian venues and felt honored to have shared the stage with the late Pat Kelly, Evangelist, motivational speaker and former team member of the Baltimore Orioles. As a missionary she was invited to do a singing tour of Scotland in 2008. With the Lord's assistance, over $2500 was raised for Strathcarron Hospice of Denny, Scotland. Her Christian message of music and testimony was so well perceived that she has been invited back to Scotland to do a second tour in the spring of 2009. Jessica, a winner of numerous music awards, is currently working on recording her second CD and she hopes to have a Christmas CD released for the 2009 Holiday Season. |
